Ongoing Projects
Kindness Rocks
The Kindness Rocks Project began in 2015 as a way to inspire others through randomly placed rocks with inspirational messages written on them. The purpose of the rocks was to offer a kind word, brighten a day or give hope to a recipient. What began on a beach in Cape Cod with a Sharpie marker has gone global.
On a recent trip to New Orleans we found a rock on the ledge of a fountain near the French Market. On the beautifully painted rock was a special message... one that was perfectly timed and brought so much comfort. What a blessing! In later reflection on the timing and content of the message, we agreed that it was a project Jordan would fully embrace. In his memory, the Foundation is joining the Kindness Rocks project. As the framework for the Foundation, we resonate with the cascading effect of kind acts and believe they can positively change the world.
Our rocks are easily recognizable by the “JM” or #JMMemorial painted on the back surface. We would love to hear from you if you find one of our rocks! Please send any pictures to jmmemorialfoundation@gmail.com and let us know if you decide to leave the rock at a new location. Join us in spreading compassion, positivity and encouragement. A kind word, an inspiring saying, or a well-timed message can truly make a difference.

Blood Donation
October 21, 2017
Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation members were at Bonfils Blood Center in the Denver area early morning on Saturday, October 21st donating blood. In Jordan's memory, we continually seek opportunities to make a difference in a hurting world. Blood donations save lives! It’s a simple, quick and safe process.
Bonfils needs to collect more than 3,000 blood donations each week to meet the needs of patients in Colorado and beyond. Blood has a shelf life of just 42 days. Please consider donating to ensure that patients have an ample supply of lifesaving transfusions going into and through the winter holiday season.
“Heroes come in all (blood) types!” Be a hero...donate blood!
March 10, 2018
On Saturday, March 10th, the Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation donated blood at Bonfils in Denver.
It is estimated that only 4% of people eligible to donate blood do so. We encourage you to make an appointment for this easy and quick procedure. Donate blood—it saves lives!

Kindness Cards
A core framework of the Jordan Miranda Memorial Foundation focuses on the value of kindness. Kind acts can have a profound impact, with each act serving the potential to catalyze a cascade of positive changes in our world. Without exception, Jordan has been described as a genuinely caring and thoughtful young man and he gave many of us a powerful lesson on the benefits of small acts of kindness. In his cherished memory we are putting words into actions.... will you join us?
Whether lending a helping hand, buying coffee for a stranger, donating time or money to a worthwhile cause or an anonymous good deed, we are handing out cards to remind people that kindness can indeed change the world. The cards will serve as a reminder that every person deserves kindness, respect, and recognition. Most importantly, however, these cards carry the invitation to “pay it forward,” and encourages receivers to give back to the world in any way they can.
If you would like some cards to distribute along with your kind act, please send an email to jmmemorialfoundation@gmail.com and we will be happy to send you some cards.
Every great change starts with one small act. Let’s work together to make our corner of the world a better place!
